Instagram revealed the most-liked pictures on the platform for 2020. Kylie Jenner landed four spots on the top ten list, but the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is still behind several other celebrities. This week, Instagram unveiled the most-liked pictures of 2020.
Everyone has unique interests when it comes to social media. A celebrity who is one person’s obsession might not be of interest to someone else. For this reason, the top ten most-liked posts might come as a surprise. Although, the fact that Kylie Jenner was on it shouldn’t come as a shock given that she’s one of the most influential internet sensations.
On Tuesday, Instagram revealed the most-liked posts of 2020, as reported by Billboard. Kylie took fourth, seventh, eighth, and tenth place on the top ten list. She received 16 million, 15.3 million, 14.5 million, and 14.2 million likes on those posts, respectively. She is the only person on the list to appear over two times. The fourth-place post was a birthday tribute to Kylie’s ex and baby daddy, Travis Scott, as shown below. “Happy birthday to daddy of the year!” Jenner wrote in the caption. “I’m slowly but surely starting to accept the fact that storm is a daddy’s girl. But whatever… Love you forever!” The seventh-place pic was of Stormi in a bathtub with nothing showing but her adorable face. The eighth-place post was of Kylie laying her head on Stormi’s lap. Finally, the tenth place photo was of Kylie and Travis modeling in Givenchy couture.
The top three most liked photos were held by Cristiano Ronaldo, Chadwick Boseman and Lionel Messi. The likes were 19.7 million, 19.1 million and 16.4 million, respectively. That means Kylie was 3.7 million likes away from being number one on the list. Cristiano’s post was a tribute to the death of Diego Maradona, a soccer legend, who passed in November. Lionel Messi’s post was also a tribute to Maradona. Chadwick’s post was the official news of his unfortunate death from colon cancer. LeBron James and Ariana Grande were also on the top ten list. LeBron posted about Kobe Bryant’s sudden death during a helicopter accident in January. Ariana posted about her recent engagement to Dalton Gomez.
Oddly, the top three most liked photos surrounded death whereas Kylie’s photos surrounded life, aka Stormi’s growth. Even though the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star didn’t make the top three, she had the highest number of posts on the top ten list which is something to commemorate.
