The Kardashian-Jenner family gifts a whopping donation to a Pasadena nonprofit for its annual Thanksgiving Day dinner: 'They saw our need'
The Kardashian Jenner family made a big difference for a local nonprofit based in Pasadena after learning about the shelter's need for food donations on the news, reported Pasadena Now.
A representative for the family confirmed the donation, which included not only hundreds of turkeys, but 450 pies and other important ingredients needed to make around 4,000 meals for its annual Thanksgiving dinner.
The organization, which is called Union Station Homeless Services, personally sent its gratitude to the family for, 'making this Thanksgiving special for so many neighbors who would otherwise not be able to enjoy a holiday meal this year.'
On the news earlier last week, the organization revealed that only around seven turkeys were donated at the time, even though around 450 turkeys were needed to provide the expected thousands of meals.
Having seen the news, the Kardashian Jenner family reached out and donated enough turkeys in order to make enough meals for those in need.
Along with turkeys, the reality stars donated, '50 gallons of milk, 50 lbs of butter, 150 lbs of produce and herbs, and 450 pies,' according to Pasadena Now.
Earlier on Thursday, officials from Union Station Homeless Services commented on the family helping out ahead of the holiday.
'They saw our need for turkeys on the news last week,' officials informed the local publication.
'Not only did they provide turkeys, but they also stocked us with every perishable ingredient needed to serve over 4,000 Thanksgiving meals at our 52nd Annual Dinner in the Park!'
The nonprofit additionally sent its thanks in a message to the family for, 'making this Thanksgiving special for so many neighbors...'
The large donation came personally from Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner and Rob Kardashian.

According to Page Six, last year in 2021, Kim donated $3,000 to a mother's GoFundMe page, due to her struggle to pay bills to keep her home.
'Kim did donate. She meant to do it anonymously and she gave the full amount the mother was asking for when she posted it, which was $3,000,' a source informed the publication.
Kylie Jenner is a current Smile Train ambassador since 2016, according to the nonprofit's website.
The mother of two had launched a lip kit and donated 100% of the funds to the nonprofit, according to Smile Train's official website.
For her 22nd birthday, Kendall had started a campaign for Charity Water and asked friends and family, along with fans, to donate rather than gifting her items. In the end, the campaign raised around $67,000, according to Insider.
Kim and her mother, Kris Jenner, personally flew to Haiti following the devastating 2010 earthquake to offer assistance, such as donating medical supplies.
According to the publication, other family members such as Khloe Kardashian, also are involved in their own charity work. However, she has a preference not to 'advertise' the donations.
