An influencer who spent a staggering $2,000 buying Kylie Jenner's old shoes has lifted the lid on what it's really like to buy from the family's controversial Kardashian Kloset - and what condition the pricey items actually arrive in.
In a new video posted to YouTube this week, famed beauty content creator Laura Lee revealed that she spent $2,000 on shoes and clothing from Kylie Jenner, and unboxed them live on camera.
The reality TV stars have been selling their clothes on their own website, Kardashian Kloset, since 2019.
They offer their used or even unworn designer clothing and accessories from their very own wardrobes - a move that has sparked plenty of controversy over the years, with critics slamming the reality stars for their exorbitant prices.
Indeed, the business venture, which they say is also to promote 'sustainability,' has been routinely mired by scandal.
Fans have called the family out for not revealing where the proceeds of the sales go, and for selling items for what some think is way too high of a price.
Others have taken issue with the quality of their clothing and accessories in the past.
Most recently, Kim Kardashian was roasted for selling her rare grey matte alligator Birkin bag on the site for $70,000, listing it in 'good condition' - but fans were quick to point out that it came complete with a 'dirty' handle and discolored corners.
In February, her sister, Khloé, was also slammed for reselling her six-year-old daughter True's clothing from fast-fashion brands like Zara and Urban Outfitters.
Items included a leopard denim jacket for $50 - around the same price as what a Zara kids jacket retails for on the brand's website, with some pointing out that reselling used kids clothing for exorbitant prices was 'greedy.'
Despite all of this, Lee still went ahead with her purchases, buying five items in total from Kylie's closet.
It's not her first purchase, either. She has a series of videos on her YouTube channel reviewing clothes from the sisters.
'I think it's like their own version of The Real Real,' Lee told DailyMail.com.
'It's a great way to find designer pieces at a discounted rate.'
Though, she did wonder why they were selling the clothes in the first place - but nonetheless, still loves to purchase from the site.
The first piece that Lee unboxed in the video was a pair of leopard print wrap heels with some bedazzled detailing from designer Giuseppe Zanotti, whose pieces can sometimes retail for upwards of $700.
Jenner had listed them for $345, a significant markdown from their original price of $895. They didn't come with their original box, but were sent with the dust bag.
'It didn't say "new" on the website I don't think, but by inspection, they look pretty much brand new,' Lee said, as she pulled them out of the packaging.
'It looks like maybe they were tried on by Kylie by the heel and the shoe, I don't know, but I don't think they were worn out, I would definitely think the would have more markings on them.'
Lee also admitted that she did some digging on the shoes to find out whether or not Jenner actually had her hands on them at any point, and found them on display in an old video filmed in Kylie's closet.
The influencer spotted the animal print heels on full display in the shoe section of Jenner's closet, nestled between a pair of metallic pumps and a white pointed-toe shoe.
When she tried them on, they were an instant hit, and Lee even said that she was going to wear them out to dinner that night.
'Thank you Kylie Jenner, because honey, I saved some coin on these Giuseppe heels, and I'm just so grateful that we are the same size shoe, 'cause honey, what she doesn't want, I will purchase,' Lee joked.
Next, Lee unboxed a pair of Kylie's old shoes from Saint Laurent, this time a pair of bright blue and green woven pumps.
The sweet shoes retail for $1,390, but were purchased on Kardashian Kloset for $520.
'They are essentially brand new,' she said, as she showed off the pristine bottom of the heels.
However, she did point out that there were some scratches on the toe area of each shoe, but that didn't phase her due to the much lower price.
'It definitely looks like these were tried on,' the YouTube vlogger said.
Lee also did a try-on for the camera, raving about how cute they were - but admitted that they were a bit tricky to get on and a bit painful.
The content creator then moved on to show the clothes that she had bought from Kylie's collection, which included a white lace corset from brand Rozie Corsets, silk set from Rezek, and leather coat from Nanushka.
Lee said that the corsets from Rozie Corsets would typically run you over $300, but she got hers for $188.
'I think it's been worn, it doesn't say new with the tags and it doesn't have any tags,' Lee said, as she pointed out some wear-and-tear on the very top of shirt, near the armpits.
She also noted that the corset smelled like it was at someone's house, but didn't smell like any kind of perfume.
When she put it on, Lee was definitely a fan of its fit and look, but admitted the material was a bit uncomfortable near the armpits, as the lace rubbed on her skin.
'I feel like my underarms and my side-arms would be bleeding by the end of the night wearing this,' the creator said.
But the final two pieces that Lee tried on were a hit - and definitely some serious bargains.
She was able to purchase the Rezek set for $225 marked down from its original $350, and the Nanushka leather coat for $345, originally $695.
Lee said the green silky set was in 'perfect' condition, while the jacket had some wear around the inside of the sleeves.
'I think I underestimated how cute this set is,' she admitted when trying on the green shorts outfit.
'I'm definitely going to be wearing it this summer.'
She felt equally as enthusiastic about the leather coat.
'I think it's adorable,' Lee said. 'I love this neutral color in it, too, I will definitely be wearing this, no doubt.'
Next time, Lee said that she was going to purchase some items from Kourtney - but told DailyMail.com that so far, her favorite sisters to buy clothing from were Kylie and even 'momager' Kris Jenner.
'I've bought tons of shoes from Kylie,' Lee told DailyMail.com, noting that they have the same shoe size.
'I also found a Dolce and Gabbana leather jacket Kim wore in Tokyo,' she added. 'It still has her pink hair dye on the jacket! ICONIC!'
