Is Kylie Jenner quitting Snapchat? Star SLAMS app's 'sad' new design

YOU can add Kylie Jenner to the (long) list of people who hate the Snapchat redesign.

On Wednesday, the Keeping up with Kardashians star took to Twitter to reveal that she no longer opens the app.

“Sooo does anyone else not open Snapchat anymore? Or is it just me… ugh this is so sad,” tweeted Jenner to her 24.5 million followers.

An inevitable torrent of replies followed, with users proclaiming the "death" of the app now that one of its biggest users is abandoning it.

But, Jenner followed up the tweet by assuring her fans that Snapchat is still close to her heart.

"Still love u tho Snap...my first love," read the tweet.

We checked, and Jenner is still on the app, but she hasn't shared any stories over the past 24 hours.

Kylie Jenner is known for sharing tons of updates on SnapchatThe Kardashian clan regulalrly namedrop Snapchat on their reality TV show – fuelling publicity for the app.

And, Kylie was the first member of her famous family to use Snapchat, with her celeb sisters following suit.

In 2015, Jenner – who goes by the Snapchat username "kylizzlemynizzl" – revealed that she was the most viewed person on Snapchat.

Her latest remarks come just weeks after she admitted that she was unsure about the app's update: "Mm just saw the new Snapchat.. I don't know how I feel about it!"

And, she's not alone.

Around 1.2 million Snapchat users (and counting) signed a petition demanding the app revert back to its old design.

They claim its revamp makes it more difficult to use, which is bad news for an app that's long been considered as notoriously tricky for new users.

The change, the biggest in Snapchat's history, was meant to change that.

With it, the app is now split into two sections – one for accessing chats and friends' stories, and the other for Discover content from the app's media partners. Judging by Snap's response, the new look is here to stay.

But, if anything can twist Snapchat's arm, it's a celebrity exodus – which would see its Facebook-owned rival, Instagram, rubbing its hands with glee, we'd imagine.
