A former NYC hostess is rating celebrities on their behavior, and Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Kylie Jenner was served a measly 2/10. According to the hostess, Julia Carolan, Jenner only tipped $20 on a whopping $500 bill. On TikTok, Carolan is reviewing all of the celebrities she encountered during her hostess years in the Big Apple.
Kylie Jenner earned her celebrity and almost-billionaire status by starring with her family on the hit reality TV show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Since becoming a cultural phenomenon, the 22-year-old has garnered additional fame and fortune with her cosmetics empire, which includes Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin. She started releasing her popular lip kits in 2015.
While Carolan doesn't explicitly say where these interactions happened, her LinkedIn profile reveals she worked at Tao and Nobu, from April 2017 to January 2018 and April 2018 to January 2019, respectively. These high-end restaurants definitely fit the overpriced bill in terms of being placing that TV personalities would dine at. In the viral video's caption, Carolan reminds the viewers that "these are just my personal experiences, pls take with a grain of salt." The Jenners aren't the only big-name celebrities Carolan had opinions on, according to Yahoo! News. Model Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin), was reportedly "not nice" and received a mere 3.5/10. Bieber, however, later publicly apologized on Instagram for the incident. Kylie's sister, model Kendall Jenner, also didn't fare very well. Kendall Jenner received a 4/10 for being "cold toward staff."
Not everyone received a bad rating though. Carolan gave a perfect score of 10/10 to Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid. She said they were both "super polite and friendly with staff." Also receiving good scores on their restaurant behavior were singer-songwriter Nick Jonas and former Nickelodeon star, Josh Peck. But it was Beyoncé's "big smile" that received her an impressive 10,000,000/10.
Finding out how celebrities act when they don't have a camera on is revealing and a thrill to discover. Although it's disappointing, it's not surprising that a life consisting of large sums of wealth, fame and luxury affects some celebrities' disposition and generosity out in the "real world." With a multitude of resources at quick disposal for the Kardashian-Jenner family, it makes sense that perhaps, if the service at a restaurant isn't up to par, that their tip would be lacking. It's encouraging, though, to see that while some celebrities don't meet our expectations, including Keeping Up With the Kardashians stars, the likes of Beyoncé far exceed those expectations.
