Kris Jenner gleefully shows off her impressive self-defence moves by 'attacking' pre-transition Caitlyn in resurfaced fitness footage

She is the momager of the famous Kardashian family and rose to fame starring in the family's reality TV series Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

And Kris Jenner proved she knows how to defend herself as she perfected her martial arts kicks in a 1994 fitness video that has resurfaced on Instagram.

The matriarch, now 65, showed off her impressive self-defence skills by powerfully kicking her then-husband Caitlyn Jenner, prior to her transition.

Kris and Caitlyn's eldest daughter Kendall, 25, drew attention to the 16-year-old fitness video by sharing it on her Instagram stories on Friday evening.

In the footage, titled Women's Self-Defence & Fitness Program, Hosted By Kris and Bruce Jenner, the former couple were joined by martial arts instructor Ken Herrera.

The clip started with Kris arguing that 'you just have to do whatever it takes to survive' if faced with an attacker, before performing a series of self-defence moves.

When told by Ken that another option is to 'submit', she said to the camera: 'This is a question that every woman must ask herself and deal with in her own mind.'

While demonstrating a series of moves for viewers, Kris refused to hold back from putting all of her power into her kicks as she kneed Caitlyn, now 71, repeatedly in the groin.

Caitlyn yelled in surprise 'OK, that works' as her then-wife enthusiastically pelted her with aggressive kicks while the duo performed the attack technique.

After finishing the series of moves, Kris gleefully exclaimed 'Let's do it again!' as she appeared to enjoy showing off her impressive strength.

Ken then asked Kris: 'Can you feel the kind of power you can generate?'

To which she quickly responded with a wide grin: 'Yeah!'

In the fitness clip, the momager then continued to perform front-leg side-kicks before Ken jokingly yelled in her face to scare her.

The video, released in 1994, was designed to help women learn self-defence moves and protect themselves in case of a potential attack.

Since resurfacing, the footage quickly prompted floods of reactions from Instagram users, with one fan quipping that Kris 'enjoyed that kicking a bit much'.

Meanwhile other followers speculated if the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson had prompted Kris to take part in the self-defence video.

One penned: 'I wonder if she did this in response to her friends' murder....it was the same year.'

Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman were both brutally stabbed to death earlier that year, on June 12, 1994, at Nicole's home in Brentwood, California.

OJ Simpson was put on trial for the two murders and was represented by Kris's late ex-husband Robert Kardashian. He was later acquitted of all charges.

Kris married Robert in 1978 and during the span of their 13 year marriage, the former couple welcomed daughters Kourtney, 41, Kimberly, 40, Khloe, 36, and son Rob, 33.

After they divorced in 1991, the matriarch married Caitlyn and the couple went on to have two daughters together, Kendall and Kylie, 23, before parting ways in 2015.
