Kris Jenner is the ‘Momager’ of all ‘Momagers’
Jenner is widely regarded as the head of the Kardashian family. But before KUWTK, Jenner was known for her marriage to Robert Kardashian, OJ Simpson’s famed attorney.
In 2007, Jenner welcomed the world into her home by creating Keeping Up With the Kardashians. The series followed Jenner and her six children: Kim Kardashian West, Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Robert Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Kendall Jenner.
Today, Jenner continues to be part of the show, as well as manage each of her children’s careers.
AJ McLean is the father of two girls
McLean and his wife Rochelle share two children, Ava and Lyric. The now-sober Backstreet Boy puts being a father to his girls at the top of his priority list.
McLean decided to get clean when his wife wouldn’t allow him to see his children under the influence. Today, he is almost a year sober.
As documented on his appearance on season 29 of Dancing With the Stars, McLean danced for his children. He wanted to show them they could do anything if they set their minds to it by participating in the competition.
Raising two children under the age of 10 is no easy feat — especially for a parent in the entertainment realm. Thanks to the Pretty Messed Up podcast, McLean can now call Jenner a friend he can turn to for parenting advice.
AJ McLean admires Kris Jenner’s parenting skills
Jenner was a guest during the “Jennerally Speaking” episode of the podcast, which debuted Nov. 3. Together with McLean’s co-hosts Cheryl Burke and Rene Elizondo, the four discussed raising kids in the public eye.
“I really do admire you as a parent, Kris,” McLean said. “As a parent myself, especially in the entertainment world, [I imagine] it is difficult to juggle everybody and try to separate business from personal and mom and grandma from business partners and whatnot.”
While Jenner’s life is busy, she admitted how her kids’ desire to want to show up to work makes balancing their work and home lives easier.

Jenner might be a business guru, but she recognizes that her kids put in work, too.
“I can come up with a lot of great ideas on a business level,” Jenner admitted during the conversation. “But if nobody showed up to work, I would be just another person with a bunch of great ideas. I’m so blessed to have these girls with an amazing work ethic.”
Jenner said each of her kids shares the same enthusiasm and passion for all of the projects they take on.

“They take the responsibility very seriously that this is a business they want to grow so they have something for their future,” she added. “They know that as a manager, I helped them achieve some of those dreams that move them along the right path. But as a mom, we have the best life together because we’re always together.”
Keeping Up With the Kardashians might be in its final season, but it certainly won’t be the last we hear from the Kardashian-Jenner clan. Like many fans, McLean can’t wait to see what the family gets into next.
