Why Brody Jenner was hurt by ex Kaitlynn Carter's pregnancy news - Page Six

Kaitlynn Carter and Brody Jenner may be friends, but he was hurt that she left him in the dark about her pregnancy.

Jenner, 37, admitted in Wednesday’s episode of “The Hills: New Beginnings” that he was upset over his ex sharing her baby news with their co-stars before him.

“Of course it’s hurtful to see all of these other people that seem to know that she’s pregnant and not me,” he admitted in a confessional. “A baby was such a big part of our relationship and talk in our relationship.”

He added, “I don’t need to be the first one to know, but I think I should be in the top 10.”

Carter, 32, is getting ready to welcome her first child with her boyfriend, Kristopher Brock.

She said on the show that she was apprehensive to tell Jenner because of past conversations the former couple had about having kids.

“It’s just a big thing to share with somebody,” she said. “It feels like one final nail in the coffin.”

The episode ended on a cliffhanger as Jenner and Carter finally sat down to speak about her pregnancy.

The exes started dating in 2014, got engaged in 2016 and had a wedding ceremony in Bali in 2018. They called it quits in 2019 and confirmed soon after that they were never legally married in the US.

Carter then had a monthlong whirlwind romance with Miley Cyrus before she began dating Brock.

“The Hills: New Beginnings” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.
