Caitlyn Jenner was reportedly erased from her son Brandon Jenner's new reality show after she was included in the show without her knowledge.
TMZ reports Caitlyn, 74, appears on an episode of her son's new UnchainedTV show At Home With The Jenners, enjoying a family dinner alongside David Foster. Her son Brandon had also been teasing an appearance by his father in earlier episodes.
But Caitlyn was unaware she would be included in the show and was upset to discover she would appear in a scene and referenced in promotional content.
Caitlyn's primary concern was allegedly her job as a contributor at Fox News - she is in the midst of contract negotiations with the network and feared appearing in a reality show on a separate network would be a breach of contract.
The star hopes to continue working with Fox as the presidential election and Olympics are fast approaching.
Attorneys for Caitlyn threatened the production company with legal action if they didn't promptly remove her from the series.
Insiders say not only have her future appearances been removed, but she has also been erased from episodes she already appeared in. The show has thus far only aired three episodes.
While Caitlyn wants nothing but the best for her son's new show, she is enraged by how haphazardously it has all been organized with the hopes of marketing it, TMZ reports.
She reportedly is no intention of joining a reality show on another network as that could seriously conflict with her job at Fox.
Insiders claim Caitlyn called her son, informing him of her anger over the issue. She has since been removed from the show.
Caitlyn joined the Fox News as a paid commentator in 2022.
The network said Jenner, who is a transgender woman, will offer commentary and analysis across various Fox News Media platforms.
'Caitlyn’s story is an inspiration to us all,' said Suzanne Scott, Fox News Media CEO. 'She is a trailblazer in the LGBTQ+ community and her illustrious career spans a variety of fields that will be a tremendous asset for our audience.'
Jenner wrote on her Instagram page at the time: 'I am humbled by this unique opportunity to speak directly to @foxnews millions of viewers about a range of issues that are important to the American people.'
Jenner is considered a polarizing figure in the LGBTQ community for espousing conservative views on a wide variety of topics, including gender identity.
She ran an unsuccessful campaign for California governor in 2021 as a Republican. She was defeated by incumbent Gov Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, finishing 13th in the recall election.
The star has publicly supported Donald Trump in the past and said she believed he had done 'good things' during his presidency.
Her conservative views reportedly led to the end of her friendship with transgender activist and actress Candis Cayne.
Candis told The Messenger: 'We just don't really talk anymore because I can't separate my friendship with her and her belief system anymore.'
Cayne said she and a group of women 'really tried to show her the light, and how important our cause was, and the only way you can get that is if you lean left' but their attempts were unsuccessful - with Cayne calling her ex friend 'a cult member, a Fox News cult member.'
Cayne said: 'It's sad because I've had so many fun times and experiences with her. I wish she would see the light. I just don't want to spend time with anybody that can't understand the other side.'
Jenner's spokesman told PageSix: 'Caitlyn is proud of her ongoing contract as a Fox News contributor — the only network to employ an openly trans contributor.
'She reaches the largest cable news audience, bringing a level headed perspective, on protecting women’s sports.'
