Wafting into Paris Fashion Week in an etheral strapless gown with a cascade of tousled curls and pale glowing skin in the manner of a Boticelli painting, it was the very last look you'd expect to see from a member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan.
But Kylie Jenner, 26, surprised fans at the Jean Paul Gaultier show in the French capital, in a corset mini dress with flowing champagne tulle layered over the top, and her artfully mussed-up bedhead looked rather like a longer version of her boyfriend Timothée Chalamet's Indie boy curls.
It was quite the style transformation for Kylie, who is usually all lip filler, pneumatic curves, contouring and skimpy clothing.
However she is not the first Kardashian to change her image to match her man after her sister Kourtney ditched her cutesy style to go full rock chic after hooking up with Travis Barker.
Meanwhile, Kim underwent a style transformation in 2012 after meeting Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, ditching over-the-top prints and accessories for skin tight, muted tones.
KYLIE
As she arrived at the Jean Paul Gaultier fashion show, Kylie channeled a high fashion look, looking angelic in a strapless dress with soft pleats.
To top off the elegant ensemble, Jenner, 26, added a pair of very Cinderella-esque clear heels.
And fans were quick to notice the star's 'soft girl era' look as she showcased her new pared back style, ditching smokey eye makeup and fake lashes for a minimalist glow.
The natural moment from the Kylie Cosmetics founder is quite a contrast from some of her more over-the-top looks.
And perhaps it's no coincidence that the style switch has happened since she sparked up a romance with Chalamet, 28, given the Indie darling and the reality star make such an unlikely couple.
Speaking to FEMAIL brand expert Emily Austen previously explained that the 'Kylie effect' could be damaging to Timothee's brand among fans.
'Timothee has charmed fans with his rise to fame and his unorthodox perception of Hollywood,' she said.
'He's very much the under dog story, French, (Europeans are sexy), see doesn't have the Hollywood "look" - muscles, build, fashion sense.
'He has feminine energy, dresses energetically, and shuns the traditional trappings of celebrity culture. The has given an endearing sense of curiosity into his personality.
'His girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, couldn't be more opposite. She's all but grown up on television, sharing every intimate detail of her life, business, bank balance, routine and journey to motherhood.
'She lives, unapologetically, in the public eye, and sits outside of the credible, Hollywood acting scene. Although incredible successful in her own right, she is not without her criticisers, who challenge her choice of career, as an influencer' she added.
'The Kylie effect could be damaging to Timothee's credibility amongst fans, but likely won't impact long term deals and film success.'
But if Kylie's image change is here to stay, perhaps he doesn't need to worry about alienating his loyal fanbase.
KOURTNEY
In 2022, all eyes were on the eldest Kardashian, 44, who donned a series of black gothic style gowns and a white bodycon mini dress as she married her beau Travis Barker in Positano.
The look is a far cry from Kourtney's style before she began dating the Blink 182 rocker, who as gone from feminine outfits in bright colours and clashing prints, to gothic, grunge garments in dark hues.
Since her whirlwind romance with Travis began in December 2020, Kourtney's fashion sense has completely changed.
Five years ago, the socialite wasn't afraid of wearing pink dresses on the red carpet, and was often seen in bright hues and printed garments.
However, in the past two years, Kourtney has been seen donning more leather, gothic lace, cross-adorned black chokers, fishnet tights, rock-band t-shirts, latex trousers, and darker make-up.
Kourtney also chopped her brunette locks into a bob and often dons big chunky leather boots and graphic band T-shirts since falling for Travis.
KIM
Kim Kardashian went through a similar change after she began her romance with the Ye in 2012.
Kim, 43, previously revealed it felt like she had a fashion awakening, thanks mostly to her ex rapper beau who introduced her to the biggest names in fashion.
A clip from her reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians featured Ye going through her closet and forcing her to get rid of all the things that he didn't approve of.
'My style has definitely evolved,' she told People in this week's issue.
'When I met Kanye and he really started to bring me to Paris he introduced me to a bunch of people. I think one of the first people I met were [designers] Riccardo Tisci and Alber Elbaz.'
She credited Ye with improving her style, and previously said he encouraged her to ‘dress sexier’.
But Kim wasn’t initially so thrilled about her now-ex husband giving her a wardrobe makeover.
While appearing on Live! With Kelly And Michael in 2015, she recalled bursting into tears when Ye decided to throw out a bunch of her clothes and shoes.
‘When we first started dating, he went through my closet, he put everything he thought wasn't cool enough in a pile,’ Kim revealed.
The reality star said she ‘started crying’ when she saw the pile, which she said was as tall as ‘the ceiling', but despite her tears, Kim said she decided to trust Ye's opinion.
West continued to style the SKIMS founder until their split in February 2021, dressing her in monochromatic looks from his line Yeezy and eventually all PVC ensembles.
Before Ye overhauled her style, Kim was known for her Juicy Couture tracksuits, bold clothing choices, often opting for eye-catching patterns and leopard print dresses.
And she underwent yet another transformation when she dated Pete Davidson in 2022, wearing brighter and more playful outfits and being unafraid to go from a skin-tight bodysuit one day to a baggy jumper and jeans the next.
Fashion expert and personal stylist Samantha Harman previously told FEMAIL that it's normal for an individual's style to change or evolve when they meet a new partner.
She explained: 'Dressing in a way that matches your partner can happen subconsciously.'
'It's a way of putting on a united front, or showing that we fit with them.'
She continued: 'We may not even recognise how our style is evolving with every new relationship we have.
'Only seven per cent of our communication is language – the rest is physiology, and when couples match and mirror one another, they gain rapport, which strengthens their bond and makes them feel closer.'
The personal stylist added: 'Our sense of style can change over time as we evolve as people – whether we have a partner or not.
'But in a healthy relationship, the person you're with brings out the best in you.
'So, it may be that some celebrities' style has evolved in their relationships, because their partner makes them feel accepted no matter what they wear, and therefore they feel confident to try something new or evolve in their style.'
