Word on the celebrity real estate highway is that makeup tycoon and major-league influencer Kylie Jenner has significantly upsized her residential circumstances in Los Angeles. TMZ reported that the 22-year-old mogul paid $36.5 million for a brand-new contemporary mansion in what is frequently considered to be the most exclusive neighborhood in Los Angeles, its billionaire haven of Holmby Hills.

In an odd coincidence — or maybe it’s not — the new Jenner estate was built by Gala Asher, the same megamansion developer who also spec-built and sold Kris Jenner her $12 million compound out in the Palm Desert resort community of La Quinta, Calif. Like her momager mother’s home, Kylie’s new house is a single-story, monolithic structure with soaring ceilings, massive walls of disappearing glass, and an indoor/outdoor living theme for a quintessentially SoCal lifestyle.

The fortress-like estate, walled and camera-secured for privacy, has its own dedicated guard shack with a full bathroom and kitchen. Beyond that, the 15,000 sq. ft. main house includes a practically endless list of snazzy amenities — there are multiple wet bars and game rooms, a gym, a giant home theater plus an outdoor projection screen, and a chef’s kitchen with chic, European-style cabinetry and a dizzying array of designer appliances.

Most of the mansion’s public rooms open directly, via walls of glass, to the courtyard-style backyard, which includes a negative-edge swimming pool and sweeping patios. The property was built with grand-scale entertaining in mind; as such, there are two guest suites with private patios and entrances, plus two additional guest apartments with their own private living rooms and kitchenettes, where Jenner’s BFF Stassie Karanikolou can quarantine and perhaps enjoy a bag of kettle chips in peace.

Last year, Jenner sold a controlling interest in her Kylie Cosmetics makeup company to beauty behemoth Coty, for a reported $600 million. She continues to appear on the long-running “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and she also has a YouTube channel sporting more than 8 million subscribers.

And though she’s barely old enough to legally imbibe alcoholic beverages, Jenner is a budding real estate tycoon who has already owned at least eight properties around Southern California. Her current portfolio includes a vacant lot out in La Quinta — also sold to her by Gala Asher, and just down the road from her mother’s desert retreat — and a $13.5 million mansion in the mountains above Beverly Hills. Her main residence, however, is a sprawling estate out in the San Fernando Valley’s Hidden Hills neighborhood, purchased for $12 million in 2016 and since extensively renovated.

Some of Jenner’s nearest new Holmby Hills neighbors include Diddy, Jimmy Iovine and high-profile entertainment exec Irving Azoff, a close family friend of the Kardashians. Also in the area is the $100 million Playboy Mansion, currently undergoing renovations, and the $120 million “The Manor” megamansion, originally built by Aaron Spelling and sold last year to an anonymous Middle Eastern buyer, believed to be a member of Abu Dhabi’s royal family.
