Who is Kirby Jenner? Meet Kendall Jenner's 'big secret' twin - New York Post

It’s the biggest “secret” in reality TV’s royal family since Caitlyn Jenner.

As Quibi hypes, the eight-episode first season of “Kirby Jenner” chronicles the “daily life of Kirby Jenner, the fraternal twin brother of Kendall” and “features Kirby’s interactions with all members of his blended family, including sisters Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall and Kylie.”

“It’s kind of a reality show like ‘Keeping Up,’ except it follows me,” Kirby, 24, tells The Post from his “mom” Kris Jenner’s home in Calabasas, California. “It was fun showing the world what we all do behind closed doors. And it’s pretty wild and I’m excited for you to see it.”

Non-spoiler alert: There also are some surprise star-power cameos in the show, which deadpan Kirby and kompany insist is not a mockumentary. As for whether or not the parent formerly known as Bruce Jenner will show up, Kirby says “you’ll just have to watch.”

The first two episodes premiere Sunday with new eps released daily on the short-form mobile video app Quibi. Hey, if anything can help the struggling streamer break through to the mainstream masses — it’s the pop culture juggernaut known as the Kardashian clan.

Quibi, short for “quick bites,” courted superstars such as LeBron James and Jennifer Lopez to launch “on-the-go” shows — most episodes are shorter than 10 minutes — to be viewed on the subway or while waiting in line at Starbucks.

Early projections hyped as many as 7 million viewers in its first year. Quibi was downloaded more than 1.1 million times in the week after its April 6 launch, according to research firm Apptopia. But by mid-May it plummeted off the Apple Store’s 50 most downloaded free iPhone apps — and was ranked at No. 125.

Hollywood mogul Jeffrey Katzenberg, who co-founded Quibi with former Hewlett Packard CEO Meg Whitman, blames the lockdown for lackluster ratings. “I attribute everything that has gone wrong to coronavirus,” he said in an interview with the New York Times. “Everything — but we own it.”

Cue the world’s most infamous “momager” since Mama Rose turned Gypsy Rose Lee out on a vaudeville stripper stage. Billed as “one big secret,” Kirby is braving reality cameras for the first time — with the full support of his mother-manager Kris, 64, who executive-produced the new series with Kendall, 24.

Is he biological or adopted? Or is this all one big meta joke? Let’s let Kirby do the talking.

Kirby recently took the time to speak with The Post about first-time jitters, blowing off steam with his flugelhorn, his legal obligation to like Kim best, following in Yeezy’s fashion footsteps, hanging with Gronk’s girlfriend and much more.

Were you hesitant to enter the reality TV arena?

I think it’s normal to be a little nervous when you’re doing something new. I remember when I was like, you know, 4 or 5 years old. My mom put Kendall and I in swimming class. And I was really afraid to go into the water and get wet. I looked up at my mom, and she put down her mimosa, picked me up — and threw me right into the deep end of the pool.

That’s the best way to learn anything. Like, when I came back into consciousness — I guess technically I drowned, or whatever — my mom was like, “I didn’t kill you. You’re fine.” And she was totally right. I think it made me stronger. It taught me how to swim. My mom can be tough, but she means well, she has a sweet heart and everything that she does, she does with love.

(Kris did not respond to The Post’s requests for comment.)

You’ve been kept a secret for so long. Are you excited to finally have your own spotlight?

You know, I don’t think that my family was keeping me a secret. Most of my family was really surprised that nobody had heard of me before. But, yeah, I’ve always been around. I guess I’ve just kind of been doing my own thing … I mean, yeah, doing the show on Quibi was totally my mom’s idea. I’m hopeful that she has more ideas for me. You know, there’s this unwritten rule in my family that when Mom has a business idea for you — you should say yes to it.

Do you have a favorite sister?

I want to say, Kendall — but legally, I have to say Kimberly.

Do you and Kendall have any sort of weird twin connection? Everybody says that sometimes they know when their twin is doing something else or …

Oh my God, yeah! It’s so weird. And I know it’s not going to make any sense, maybe there’s some other twin out there that can relate — but Kendall always knows when I have to take a s - - t. It’s really strange. I can’t fully explain it, but yeah. That’s the thing our entire life.

Breaking the Internet … like, that’s something I could totally see myself doing. I’m actually pretty prone to breaking things. I just broke my Fitbit before this interview.

Any aspirations to marry a rapper-turned-fashion guru or launch a catwalk career?

Yeah, I do a lot of modeling. I love it. But I don’t know. Marriage is definitely not something that’s on the front of my mind. You know, maybe one day I’ll get married. I don’t think they have to be a rapper or a fashion guru or anything, you know, just someone who kind of loves me for me. I don’t know. Like, does that sound lame? Actually, no — let me change my answer. Yes, I aspire to marry a rapper or a fashion guru.

[Camille], you know, she’s like another sister to me. I’m fortunate that I get to meet a lot of people through Kendall. I guess a lot of people think that when we’re hanging out that, like, we’re on a date. When you know, like, we’re just eating ravioli and watching “Homeward Bound.”

I’ve noticed in younger photos of you, you have serious facial hair. Is that a genetic anomaly you were born with?

Oh, yeah. Since middle school, I’ve had, like, a pretty thick mustache. And I remember when it first started coming in, I was, like, a little embarrassed of it. But, you know, my sisters were just like, “Rock it! Rock what you got!” And now that’s kind of the motto that I live by. Khloé definitely made fun of me a bit. She said, I looked like Mr. Belvedere.

OK, what’s the biggest misconception about your family?

We’re a lot more normal than people give us credit for. Everyone is just a lot more down to earth. Like, we like to have family dinner, watch movies together and play Mario Kart. I think Khloé’s kind of ruining the Mario Kart, though. She’s getting, like, way too competitive about it. She’s kind of, like, the gamer of the group.

Wait, have you been locked down with the fams?

Yeah, I’ve been quarantined here at Kylie’s house since, like, the beginning of March. I’m actually like in — I guess it’s like a mother-in-law unit or carriage house, as they call it. I don’t even think Kylie knows I’m here, her house is enormous. I’ve been trying to better myself at the gym and yoga. And I’ve been learning to play the flugelhorn. It’s kind of like a trumpet.

Were you a childhood band nerd or is this a later-in-life passion?

Yeah, this is something that I only picked up, like, right before quarantine. I’ve been having a lot of fun with it. It’s the only thing that I never got to do at [Kylie’s] home because, like, it’s so noisy and I guess I’ve been waking up Stormi. Can I play something for you?

Yeah, go for it! I’d love to hear it.

All right, hold on. I’m still a beginner. I’m getting better, though. [Kirby plays his flugelhorn, loudly, for several minutes.]

I think it was beautiful.

Thanks, man. I appreciate that.

Your family is legendary for shrewdly knowing what the public is gonna want next. Have any product lines in mind?

Yes, for sure. I like to be a fashion inventor, you know, like, I don’t want to do things that have been done before. So some of the things I’m working on are sandals with built-in socks. It’s like a 2-in-1 thing. I lose my socks too often, so I thought I would like to figure out a way to make this work with a sandal.

How would you describe your show for someone who’s been living under a pop culture rock for the last decade?

You know, my show’s got a little bit of everything on it. It’s got fashion and modeling. Obviously, it’s got pyrotechnics. You know, my sisters are all in it. Family tribunals. I got into a battle with a bird, and I hung out with a business clown. I do some singing. It was fun showing the world what we all do behind closed doors. And it’s pretty wild and I’m excited for you to see it.

According to sources at Wikipedia, you have an established career as a performance artist. Will selling out to reality TV hurt your street cred?

You know, I consider myself more of a sandwich artist more than anything. I don’t think I’m worried.
