American media personality and businesswoman Kylie Jenner has nine tattoos and counting on several parts of her body. Find out more about these tattoos and the meanings behind them.

American television personality and socialite Kylie Jenner is famous all over the world. The 23-year-old is notable for her appearance on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”

She is also known for her riches and shares pictures of her memorable moments with her fans on social media. From Jenner’s posts and public appearances, fans have also observed that she has nine tattoos on several parts of her body. Find out more about her tattoos and their meanings.

KYLIE UNVEILS FIRST TATTOO

2015 was the year in which Jenner revealed her first tattoo to her large fanbase when she shared a picture on her Instagram page showing a tattoo on just above her right hip. She captioned the snap:

“All red. @bangbangnyc.”

The inscription on the tattoo read, “\'sa-na-tē\,” the phonetic pronunciation of sanity. Jenner later revealed that the tattoo reminded her to keep to her sanity, given that she grew up being watched by millions of people.

BEFORE SANITY

A year after inking “Sanity,” Jenner visited celebrity tattoo artist Rafael Valdez who reportedly added the word “Before” to her first tattoo, making it become “Before Sanity.” She also shared a picture of the new tattoo on Instagram, though it was not clear enough to show what it said.

In the picture, she wore a white two-piece swimsuit and stood on a walkway between two pools. Jenner rocked red cornrows and posed with her back facing the camera.

LOVE ON THE LEFT ARM

Jenner said her sanity tattoo was the first tattoo she did. However, she shared a picture of a red heart tattoo on her left arm four months before she revealed “Sanity.” She shared a photo of herself in a red dress, captioning it:

“red.”

The photo showed her standing in front of a mirror in a restroom, with the small red tattoo clearly visible. It was reported that the celebrity got the tattoo to celebrate her 18th birthday.

A TRIBUTE TO MARY JO

In February 2016, Jenner shared a picture showing the name “Mary Jo” inked on her left arm, in thin, red script. The name belongs to her maternal grandma, Mary Jo Shannon. In her caption to the post, Jenner revealed the tattoo was in her grandfather’s writing.

THE “M” TATTOO

In 2016, Jenner also revealed another red tattoo that renowned artist Jon Boy inked on the inside of her right pinky finger. Her caption to an Instagram post where she revealed it showed the tattoo inscription of the letter “M.”

From her Instagram, it was revealed that her former best friend, Jordyn Woods also had the same tattoo. Jenner and Woods were best friends for many years until the latter was caught kissing Khloé Kardashian’s boyfriend, Tristan Thompson.

THE “T” AND “LA” TATTOOS

Jenner also inked a “T” tattoo in honor of her former boyfriend, Tyga, whom she usually called “T.” Fans took notice of the special tattoo which Valdez inked when she stepped out for an occasion in December 2016.

More than a year after inking Stormi’s name on the back of her arm, Jenner added another tattoo to her collection.

Following her breakup with Tyga in March 2017, Jenner transformed the tiny “T” into “LA,” paying tribute to her home town of Los Angeles.

THE BUTTERFLY

Jenner shares an adorable daughter, Stormi Webster, with rapper Travis Scott. Before she announced that she was pregnant with her daughter, the 23-year-old and the rapper seemed to seal their love when they showed off their matching butterfly tattoos on their ankles.

The butterfly tattoos might refer to Scott’s hit song, “Butterfly Effect” which was released in May 2017, a short while after they began dating. Fans also spotted the tattoo when Jenner and Scott went for a night out.

TRIBUTE TO STORMI

Jenner and Scott celebrated their daughter’s first birthday by inking matching tattoos of her first name on the back of their right arms. Jon Boy shared pictures of both Scott's and Jenner’s tattoos on his Instagram page.

ANOTHER TRIBUTE TO STORMI

More than a year after inking Stormi’s name on the back of her arm, Jenner added another tattoo to her collection. This time, she paid another heartwarming tribute to her precious daughter with a tiny forearm tattoo.

Jenner inadvertently revealed the new tattoo which had the inscription, “4:43,” signifying the time her daughter was born, when she shared a picture of herself and makeup artist Ariel Tejada on her Instagram.

No one knows if Jenner will add to her rich and unique tattoo collection any time soon. One thing that remains clear is that her numerous fans will be there to take notice if and when she does.
