The Kardashians made huge headlines earlier this week after celebrating Kim's 40th birthday on a private island.
According to reports, Kim flew 40 of her closest family and friends to a private island on a Boeing 777 jumbo jet. Apparently, Kim chose the location based on the lack of COVID-19 cases. But, it was her message on Instagram that had many up in arms after accusing her of being tone-deaf about the current pandemic.
"Before COVID, I don’t think any of us truly appreciated what a simple luxury it was to be able to travel and be together with family and friends in a safe environment. After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time," she wrote.
