It's been on the cards a while, but today, it is with great honour that I can announce: Kylie Jenner is blonde again.
...Actual blonde. Not honey-blonde, not balayage, not faux-mbre. She's taken the plunge and gone legit Barbie doll blonde.
Not that she doesn't also look gorgeous with brown, jet black, pink and every other hair colour under the sun, of course. It's just, this been a long time coming after she teased long ago that she wanted to work her way back to blonde again during lockdown.
And despite erring from her plan, putting her hair colour up to a public vote of 'brown or black', she's edged her way towards an all-over blonde look for a while now.
And where, in the past, the KarJenner cohort could be said to have switched it up so dramatically their hair health was at risk (SAY IT WITH ME: YOU CAN'T GO FROM JET BLACK TO PLATINUM IN ONE APPOINTMENT), this time round, Kylie's been super careful with the transition, and I can imagine her strands (if they could speak (which they cannot)) would be thanking her for it.
Since being jet black, she's gradually lightened her hair, cycling through her natural brown colour, and then adding highlights and panelling across various stints. This is a brilliant way to work towards all-over blonde without it being a shock to the system, because your healthier, unbleached hairs can work as a lifebelt for the parched, bleached ones.
And, after teasing earlier this week with her curly blonde Carole Baskin vibes, she posted a grid vid along with some gorgeous stories showing off her bright, sleek flaxen lengths - and it's a testament to how great the results can be if you take! your! time! while moving between hair colours.
