Levi's Secret Sale Includes My Go-To Jeans and Kylie Jenner-Worn Denim - InStyle

ICYMI: Levi’s is, in addition to the original denim brand, a favorite among myriad celebrities, including Taylor Swift, Emma Stone, and Elsa Hosk. InStyle editors live in Levi’s, too—myself included; I’ve yet to find a denim brand as consistently durable and timelessly stylish. 

Many of the brand’s jeans—including a surprisingly flattering low-rise style Kylie Jenner wears on repeat and a cool-girl baggy jean Elsa Hosk has donned—are on sale at Amazon for a limited time this Memorial Day weekend. I’m stocking up on my favorite pair, the ultra-comfortable 724 style, and trying new styles up while they’re up to 56 percent off.

Low Pro Jeans

Sydney Sweeney recently made a case for the return of the low-rise jean. Lest this news send you into a tizzy, rest assured: the style can, in fact, flatter, as Jenner’s aforementioned go-to, proves. Despite its name, the Low Pro is hardly the most hipbone-grazing cut in the world. While some shoppers do say it fits lower on the hips, others call it more of a mid-rise waist. Either way, the waist has a relatively loose fit, as do the thighs, which feature a relaxed, 90s-vintage style fit. The jeans offer very little-to-no stretch—which, IMO, is preferable, as it prevents frustrating loosening throughout the day. Available in 11 colors at Amazon, ranging from ivory to indigo, the jeans are versatile; I’d pair any with a boxy white T-shirt and a pair of chunky sneakers for an effortless, cool-girl vibe.

High-Waisted Mom Shorts

Perfect for backyard barbeques and summer activities, these 12.75-inch-rise  shorts are a seasonal wardrobe staple. The relaxed thighs allow for roominess and comfort at the upper leg, while the cinched waist creates an ultra-flattering silhouette. Taylor Swift wore this exact style in 2022,  which comes in numerous shades. I’m eyeing the blue-and-white ombré version, now marked down to $42.

These were the first Levi’s I ever bought. I’ve since purchased two additional pairs and have recommended them to my sister. My boyfriend compliments me every time I wear these jeans, and—at risk of bragging—I understand why: My typically nonexistent rear looks perky thanks to the form-fitting cut and perfectly placed pockets. The cropped ankle gives the pants a breezy, summer-ready look, and is ideal for showing off loafers, sandals, or any statement shoe.

The fabric—a cotton, viscose, polyester, and elastane blend—is unreasonably comfortable for denim; in fact, these stretchy pants are my go-to for traveling. I’m buying as many colors as possible while they’re significantly marked down.
