The Palm might replace Bruce Jenner caricature with Caitlyn - Page Six

The famed Palm steakhouse empire continues to grapple with the complexities of modern life.

Last year, Page Six reported that the restaurant — one of a number of venerable establishments around town that’s famous for having celebrity portraits on its walls — had to figure out what to do about the stars in their murals hit by #MeToo scandals. (The others were Sardi’s and Katz’s Deli.) Now we’re told that a lot of customers at East Side outpost Palm Too, have been asking what the restaurant is going to do about the portrait of Bruce Jenner, which appears in the main dining room.

Diners have been asking staff if there are plans to replace it with a portrait of Caitlyn Jenner instead after the star transitioned. Apparently, the eatery’s answer is that because stars have to have visited the restaurant in person to have the honor of being included on the walls, managers will add her image if Caitlyn ever shows up at the Second Avenue spot.

We had reported that the Palm location off Times Square had taken down portraits of Matt Lauer, Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby after they were all accused of sexual misconduct and other crimes.
