The Kardashian-Jenner Sisters Are Obsessed With These Vintage Jean Paul Gaultier Designs - Vogue

Call it the sisterhood of the traveling vintage Jean Paul Gaultier shirt. It starts with Kendall Jenner, who wore a green semi-sheer top by the French designer back in September. Entitled Venus de Milo, the top features a photoprint of the famous Greek sculpture of the same name.

Fast-forward to now, and it seems Kourtney Kardashian might have swiped the fashion prize from her sister’s closet. (Avid fans of Keeping Up With the Kardashians will know the siblings share just about everything.) The reality TV star was seen out in Los Angeles last night, wearing the exact same shirt. She put her own cool-mom spin on it, styling it with high-waisted jeans and a pair of pointy-toe boots.

To be fair, the eldest Kardashian sister has been wearing ’90s Jean Paul Gaultier for some time now. Back in 2017, she wore a dress version of the trompe l’oeil print for a night out clubbing in Cannes. Her younger sister Kim Kardashian West has also picked up the trend. Yesterday, at a recording of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in Los Angeles, she donned a throwback Gaultier gem of her own: a barely there purple and white long-sleeved crop top with a matching skintight skirt.

The Kardashian-Jenner family has a history of collecting red-hot designer archive pieces. They were among the first celebrities to jump on the Tom Ford for Gucci revival last year; lest we forget, the Instagram of Kim in a flossy interlocking-G thong went viral. Their new penchant for vintage Jean Paul Gaultier speaks to a much more colorful slice of fashion history. (See Gaultier’s Spring 1994 collection of kaleidoscopic tattoo prints here.) We suggest you start searching on eBay now, before it’s too late.
