Want an update on Kylie Jenner’s relationship with Caitlyn Jenner? Of course you do, because let’s be honest—it has been a while since we’ve had one. After that super-awkward I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! drama between them, things seem to be back to normal because Kylie’s now discussing how good things are between her and Caitlyn in a new cover interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
“My dad was the best growing up, never missed a sports game. Took us to school every day, and our school was, like, 45 minutes from our house,” Kylie said, adding that she and Caitlyn talk to each other “like, every day.” The only time Kylie and Caitlyn went such a long time without speaking? “Three or four weeks when she did that show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!” Kylie shared. “I watched clips online. It was hard to be out of touch for that long, but I feel like it was harder for her because she couldn’t see us.”
You might remember that following Caitlyn’s removal from the show, Kylie and her sister Kendall Jenner surprised Caitlyn with a set of welcome-home balloons.
This update is a massive improvement from what Kylie and Caitlyn’s relationship used to be like. Back in 2017, when Caitlyn released her memoir, The Secrets of My Life, it caused a major divide between Caitlyn and Kris Jenner that trickled down to Kylie.
“Kylie has really made an effort not to take sides and to be supportive of Caitlyn. She really wants to have a relationship with her dad, but Caitlyn has hurt Kris tremendously and it’s made it very difficult,” a source told E! News at the time. “With everyone in the family on Kris’s side, it’s hard on Kylie. She tries to keep it separate and doesn’t want to discuss it with the rest of the family.”
Well, the good news here is that things are A-OK between Kylie and Caitlyn now, despite the bumps in the road. We love to see it!
