You know how changing up your manicure every week or two can wreak havoc on your nails? Just imagine how worn out the nails of fashion's most famous models, like Kendall Jenner, must be after Fashion Month. They had to change their manicures every day — sometimes multiple times a day — whether it was with drying nail-polish remover or by pulling off stubborn adhesive. But Jenner just proved her nails not only survived several weeks of manicure madness but that she's also ready to start a new minimalist nail-art trend for spring.
On Friday, March 6, both Jenner and her go-to nail salon, North Hollywood's Modern Pamper Salon, posted a closeup of the model's latest manicure — one she wanted, as opposed to what she was assigned to wear on a runway — and we're obsessed with how cute, simple, and chic it is.
Most of the area on Jenner's nails was left unpainted except for clear polish. On the tip of each nail is a blob (for lack of a better word), some more centered, others leaning toward a rounded-off corner of her long-but-not-too-long square nails. Near the bottom cuticle is a small, off-center dot — no two are in the exact same spot.
This negative-space mani would look fantastic using literally any color, but the pale matcha green Jenner chose feels so perfect for spring. (We're not sure of the exact polish she's wearing, but OPI's shade How Does Your Zen Garden Grow seems like a near-exact match.)
Considering how some of Jenner's past nail art — like that adorable cow print and the pretty sunflowers, also on a clear base — played a major role in setting some of the biggest manicure trends in 2019, we have no doubt this look will be popping up on plenty of hands in a matter of moments.
