Kylie Jenner Seen Applying Sunscreen From Drugstore, Not Kylie Skin — Photos - Allure

After Kylie Jenner conquered the makeup category with Kylie Cosmetics, it only made sense that her success would overflow into skin care. And with so much emphasis on the importance of sunscreen these days, it only makes sense that Kylie Skin offers one: the sprayable Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen Oil for the body. What doesn't make sense is how, in new videos and photos posted by Jenner, she's seen applying sunscreen by another brand.

On Saturday, March 7, Jenner shared an Instagram post — and Instagram Stories slides — featuring several still shots and videos in which she's wearing a brown bikini and thoroughly spraying her body with sunscreen. In the caption, Jenner simply writes, "Wear your sunscreen."

However, the sunscreen is surprisingly not her own Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen Oil, which imparts its hydrating protection with a nonaerosol spray from a plastic bottle. The sunscreen in Jenner's hands is clearly an aerosol formula in a metal can. Upon closer inspection of the visible colors and pattern on the packaging, it appears the mystery product is Banana Boat Ultra Sport Clear Sunscreen Spray SPF 50+, which runs for about $10 at drugstores.

A fan noticed the confusing sunscreen selection and and left a comment that got over a thousand likes: "Gf why [aren't] you wearing Kylie skin sunscreen?????" (Five question marks indeed.) Jenner was quick to respond and explain how something like this could happen, replying, "Ugh i'm out of town and my mom is a hater and doesn't have any here."

Needless to say, Kris Jenner has probably learned her lesson and will start keeping not only her daughter's own sunscreen spray on hand but also the upcoming Broad Spectrum SPF 40 Face Sunscreen that Kylie Skin will be launching soon.

But it just goes to show that Kylie Jenner is committed to keeping her skin safe. When she says, "Wear your sunscreen," she means whatever you can get your hands on, even if it's not hers.
