It’s getting near impossible to keep up with Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna‘s legal battles.
Hours after news broke that Rob was awarded more than $45,000 in his lawsuit against Chyna’s ex-boyfriend, Pilot Jones, it’s been reported that Chyna has been ordered to turn over her bank records to Rob in her ongoing lawsuit against the entire Kardashian family.
This is the latest development in a case that began with Chyna’s allegations that the Kardashian clan was responsible for having “Rob & Chyna” canceled on E!, resulting in her seeking millions in damages. It was in response to these claims that Kardashian’s legal team sought to subpoena Chyna’s financial records.
In turn, Chyna sought to have Rob’s subpoena of her financial records—both personal and corporate—quashed, but a Los Angeles judge upheld Kardashian’s request and has ordered Chyna’s manager, Walter Mosley, to turn them over. The judge ordered that Chyna must turn over the records to demonstrate whether she lost any income following the cancellation of the former couple’s reality TV show.
The family has denied all of Chyna’s allegations and asserts the show was canceled after she and Rob broke up.
Having taken one hit legally, Chyna and her attorney are fighting back on a separate aspect of the ongoing legal feud. Specifically, the Kardashian’s request to seal all records pertaining to the case. Chyna has since filed an opposition to the motion.
“These Defendants want to hide their illegal conduct from the public which resulted in the cancellation of Season 2 of Chyna’s hit reality TV show, instead of allowing the evidence of their wrongdoing to see the light of day,” Chyna’s attorney, Lynne Ciani, told Page Six in an exclusive statement Wednesday.
“Unlike ‘Bachelor Mom Barb’ who expressed her contempt for her potential future daughter-in-law out in the open last night, Kris and her daughters successfully hid their contempt for Chyna, their future daughter-in-law and sister-in-law, from the public,” Ciani’s statement continued. “Chyna is seeking to prevent the Kardashian and Jenner family from continuing their ability to hide their unlawful conduct against her from the public.”
Their next hearing is set for March 18 in Los Angeles.
Rob and Chyna are also fighting over custody of their daughter, Dream Kardashian.
