The human foot is made up of 26 bones, 33 joints, and over 100 ligaments that, together, enable us to balance, run, walk, climb. It is one of the most complex structures of the body, a biological wonder, a triumph of evolution. To study the human foot is to chart the biological course of humanity, from our arboreal origins to our eventual bipedalism, which separated us from our ape cousins and freed up our arms to develop tools like hammers and bang trimmers. The foot is a map, a journal, a history textbook, an engineering marvel.
And yet people still have the gall to criticize feet. One foot in particular, which belongs to Kylie Jenner, and is, according to one Instagram user, *vomit emoji.*
Kylie posted these pictures of her and her sister Kendall to Instagram on Tuesday. Their feet are cropped out in the first two photos, but in the third, you can see their beautifully arched trotters. If you look closely, you’ll see that the third toe on Kylie’s right foot appears to be shorter than the others.
“Toes throwing up gang signs,” one user commented.
“So nobody gone notice her short toe?” said another. This one comment caught the attention of the youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan. “I broke that toe when I was in middle school and it never healed right leave our toes alone they did nothing to you !!!!!!!!” Kylie replied.
She also addressed the foot critics in her Instagram stories, saying that “everyone wants to come for my fucking toes,” and demonstrating how, because it never healed correctly, the middle toe on her right foot doesn’t stretch all the way out when she flexes it.
She then went on to post a zoomed-in screenshot of Kendall’s toes, which look extremely long, with the caption, “i’m sorry but wutttt.” Indeed, hurt people hurt people.
At least Kylie can console herself with the knowledge that she still has a five-star rating on WikiFeet.
