SOUND THE LOCKDOWN HAIR SWITCH-UP KLAXON: Kylie Jenner has thrown my life into turmoil with a completely unprecedented, physically impossible hair-related growth spurt, and I need to get it off my chest. Cool? Cool.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been pretty comforted during this mad lockdown time to learn that even the world’s most glamorous, perfectly groomed famous people lean into a more stripped-back aesthetic (looking at you, air-dried hair and lockdown aesthetic) if they stay in the house long enough.

And as I sit, picking at the yoghurt stain on my t-shirt and wondering if I can make it six days without washing my hair this week (I kid...sort of…), I for one am thoroughly enjoying a peek behind the famous-person-veneer.

One look I was particularly enjoying was Kylie’s super cute bob, often paired with a scrunchie (and a kabillion-dollar tracksuit, obviously.)

To be fair, Kylie Jenner was ahead of the curve with this - she’d already taken out her extensions in early March (look, i’m not saying momager extraordinaire Kris Jenner somehow predicted the lockdown weeks ahead of announcement and ensured her gals were all lockdown-ready with chic low-key haircuts...but...spooky, right?).

Anyway, Kim’s hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimmons told us in an interview that the next big trends will revolve around having healthy, strong hair, beautifully textured hair (even if that means lopping it all off), so it makes sense that Kylie would be sporting a cute bob while relaxing on lockdown.

But here’s the thing - this weekend, in the early hours of the morning, we learned the impossible news that Kylie Jenner is now sporting amane of long, swooshing dark blonde hair.

If you zoom in closely, it seems Kylie has either A) clipped in some extensions for a lockdown switcheroo or B) thrown on a gorgeous wig.

If she is sporting extensions, it’s also a testament to the versatility of her current light brown crop, which enables her to blend blonde strands into the mix for a natural-looking balayage vibe

To me, it looks like she’s edging closer and closer to this honey blonde look that all of the Kardashian-Jenners are apparently dreaming of right now, and it speaks of very exciting things once the clan are reunited with their hair stylists post-isolation.

Either way, I can't wait to see what's next as the KUTK clan settle fully into DIY hair switch-ups. Will Kim stop teasing about going blonde and order a home-dye? Will Kourtney go pastel? Will Kendall shave her head?
