“As far as trans issues, this administration has been the worst ever,” Jenner told Newsweek for a story published Saturday.

“They’ve set our community back 20 years, easily,” Jenner said. “It’s going to be hard to change, but we’ve been through these types of things before and we’ll continue to fight it.”

Jenner, one of the world’s most famous openly transgender women, was initially a supporter of the president.

However, Jenner was critical of the president last year after he ordered the termination of federal protections for transgender students that allow them to use the restroom that aligns with their gender identity.

In a tweet, she said that she viewed Trump’s move as a “disaster” and reminded him that he has”promised to protect the LGBTQ community.

During the 2016 presidential campaign, Trump said Jenner could use whichever bathroom in Trump Tower she wanted. Jenner posted a video of her going into Trump Tower to use the women’s restroom.

In July 2017, she said her “allegiance is not” with the president after he banned transgender people from serving in the military, according to People.

Jenner said she has not spoken with Trump and said he needs to “do a better job when it comes to equality,” Newsweek reported.
